Sun Kil Moon April On Limited Edition Vinyl LP Of Only 2000 Copies

April, the new album from Sun Kil Moon, is Mark Kozelek's (Red House Painters) first album of original material since the acclaimed 2003 Sun Kil Moon debut Ghosts Of The Great Highway. In the spirit of Ghosts of the Great Highway and Tiny Cities, Mark was joined by the same supporting cast here including drummer Anthony Koutsos (Red House Painters), bassist Geoff Stanfield (Black Lab), violist Michi Aceret, and percussionist David Revelli. April also features guest vocals from Bonnie Prince Billy, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) and Eric Pollard (Retribution Gospel Choir). Alternating between delicate acoustic ballads and long, fuzzed-out, Neil Young & Crazy Horse-influenced jams, Kozelek delivers a fully matured version of the moody sound he first explored 16 years earlier. The album was recorded between March and August of 2007 in San Francisco (Hyde Street Studios) and Seattle (Well Recording).
