Fairport Convention Unhalfbricking On 180g Vinyl LP

Unhalfbricking was a transitional album for Fairport Convention (vocalist Ian Matthews left midway through recording the album) and they would go on to virtually invent folk rock with Liege & Lief which was released the same year. They stretch out on longer numbers here and introduce Dave Swarbrick, whose fiddle is showcased on the lengthy "A Sailor's Life." Richard Thompson's songwriting begins to show its potential as well with the songs "Genesis Hall" and "Cajun Woman" and Sandy Denny absolutely shines on her most famous composition "Who Knows Where Time Goes."
