Solar Fire was the first Manford Mann's Earth Band album to be released on the Bronze label and it is considered by many to be one of their finest efforts. The progressive leaning Solar Fire and its cosmology concepts and complex, shifting arrangements were groundbreaking upon its original 1973 release and it stands as arguably the most enduring release of the Manfred Mann's Earth Band diverse catalog. Although altogether a fine and atmospheric album, the ten minute reworking of Bob Dylan's "Father Of Day, Father Of Night" is an undeniable highlight.
