Built on the shoulders of the wonderful DNA-225 power amp, McCormack's new DNA-250 is both an upgrade and a revision. The DNA-250 retains much of the signature McCormack “Distributed-Node” architecture, which puts individual capacitors right next to the output transistors for better performance. In the DNA-250, these capacitors are upgraded to conrad-johnson film-caps which deliver greater resolution and increased dynamic range.

The DNA-250 also has a redesigned JFET input stage for a sweeter more accurate sound. The power supply has been revised with huge improvements in both current delivery and filtration both of which which help improve tonality and lower the noise floor. The DNA-250's architecture enables lightning quick current delivery and wide bandwidth. Bass is deep, tight, and articulate while high frequencies are extended yet smooth. Images are cast in bold relief, and there is seamless response across the entire spectrum. Pace and timing are accurately recreated.
