The Shunyata V-Ray v2 is a revolution in passive conditioning technology!

Shunyata has unleashed their latest reference conditioner, the V-Ray v2.  Although owners of previous generation V-Rays may have trouble believing this, the new V-Ray v2 does actually offer a smoother, more resolved and dynamic performance; the difference is not subtle. Featuring a new buss-bar system, a new filtration network, a new noise reduction compound and some covert tweaks, Shunyata's new V-Ray v2 sets the bar for sonic performance from a passive conditioning product and outperforms quite a few active ones as well!

The most noticeable physical change between the V-Ray v2 and its predecessor is not the faceplate which remains the same, but actually the physical weight of the new V-Ray v2.  The V-Ray v2 weighs considerably more thanks to new buss-bars and the new ZrCa-2000 noise reduction compound, which is quite a bit heavier than the FeSi compound it replaces.  ZrCa is also a more efficient noise reduction compound, yielding substantial improvements in reducing noise levels and also in dynamic range, allowing the V-Ray v2 to offer a simultaneously more subtle and more powerful perspective.  

Other internal changes are the new 24 element SR-V2 filter array, an update and rethinking of the previous Venom array, offering superior filtration and a smoother, more natural tonal balance.  The buss-bar system has been updated as well for the V-Ray v2, with 7 Lbs of ultra-pure CDA-101 copper buss-bars aligned in a new pathway that eliminates distortion and reflection, improving current flow and resolution.  

The original V-Ray was Music Direct's reference AC conditioner, the power conditioner by which the sonic performance of all other AC conditioners were measured.  The new V-Ray v2 is a substantial upgrade and thus receives our Highest Recommendation!
