CIAUDIO - VRX-1 ADAPTER CABLE FOR VDA-2

Convert the analog output of your CIAudio VDA-2 to true balanced with the VRX-1 Cable!

Although most people use CIAudio's fabulous VDA-2 DAC with RCA cables, it is possible to convert the output of the VDA-2 to a true balanced output by using this specially designed cable, the CIAudio VRX-1.   Terminated with two pairs of RCA connectors on one side and a single pair of XLR connectors at the other, the VRX-1 is a truly plug and play solution to converting the VDA-2's output to balanced. 

How does it work? 
The ingenious and unique dual-output design of CIAudio's VDA-2 analog output stage makes this possible.  The VDA-2 has two pairs of single ended outputs; one set is in-phase, the other 180° out of phase.  This is identical to how balanced connections are created in most balanced gear, but we've never seen them split into two separate outputs like they are on the VDA-2.  Since both types of outputs on the VDA-2 are active simultaneously, the VRX-1 cable simply has to provide the correct signal to each pin of its respective XLR connector and voila, the fantastic VDA-2 becomes a balanced DAC.  Need more information?  Consult your VDA-2 owner's manual, where all will be revealed.

NOTE: Do not use the VRX-1 adapter cable to convert the output of other devices!

The VRX-1 is a unique cable, purpose built to specifically and exclusively convert the VDA-2's uniquely designed dual RCA output.  Using it to adapt the output of other equipment is not recommended and may cause severe damage.
