REL's R-205 Is The Ideal Match For Any High Quality Small Speaker

Quick and agile, the R-205 offers outstanding integration with smaller speakers in small to medium rooms.  The R-205’s small footprint makes it visually unobtrusive; REL engineering allows it to integrate without a sonic hint of its existence.  The powerful high-speed 200W amplifier and custom built 10” woofer allow the R-205 to plumb the depths and give it substantial growl and heft.  The R-205 also has a light and deft touch, feathering extra layers of detail and soundstage information into the system making the room sound much larger than it is.  For those constrained by a small room, the R-205 might be the best choice in the REL lineup.

A word on finishes, the Cherry and Rosenut finishes are real-wood veneers, stained to a consistent and gloriously rich glow.  The Gloss Black finish is hand polished for a deep shine. 

T-1 vs. R-205
One question we field frequently is “Which should I choose?” in relation to the T-1 when compared to the similarly priced R-205.  Surprisingly, this is not as difficult a decision as it might appear.  In terms of absolute output, punch and sheer dynamic range, the T-1 is the clear choice, offering exceptional performance in all three areas.  In a smaller room with a high-quality pair of speakers the R-205 will integrate better, with greater texture, resolution and pitch definition, creating a larger and deeper soundstage.  As with all REL products, there is no wrong choice, just make sure to pick the right tool for the job.
