Not since the days of the Sex Pistols and the Clash has a band exploded from the fertile U.K. hardcore scene with such urgency, energy, and anger as the Gallows. Grey Britain, the group’s second album, is a damning indictment of a country crippled by recession, and suffering from racism, ignorance and hopelessness. Hard, heavy, loud, deep and bleak, produced by Garth ‘GGGarth’ Richardson (Rage Against The Machine), Grey Britain may be the most important punk rock record in years to come out of not only Britain but anywhere.

Formed in 2005, Gallows earned a reputation as the fiercest band around first in community centers and punk dives, and later at established venues and festivals. 2006’s debut Orchestra Of Wolves was reissued by Warner Bros. in the U.K. and Epitaph in the U.S. and in 2007 its “Staring At The Rude Bois” went U.K. Top 40 and hit #1 U.K. Rock. Gallows also won the 2007 Kerrang! Award for Best British Newcomer.
