The Marantz NR 1501 Is A Pint Sized Marvel!

Fully half the height of most surround receivers, the NR 1501 is a full-featured, red-blooded receiver.  If you've ever looked into a surround receiver, there's a lot of open air in there.  Many surround receivers are actually quite a bit taller than they need to be, simply because of legacy composite and S-Video switching boards.  Long known for innovation, Marantz engineers determined that by removing S-Video switching they could save a full 50% of rear panel space!  This would allow the NR 1501 to be quite a bit shorter, making it much more rack friendly.

Don't be fooled by the reduction in height, though.  This is a Marantz receiver through and through.  Marantz engineered audio combined with sufficient amplifier power for most small systems and HDMI decoding and switching makes the NR 1501 the receiver to beat at this price.
