After releasing two singles, the jaunty "One of Two" and new-no-wave classic "Molten, the Yorkshire trio Sky Larkin released an EP, Swit Swoo featuring covers of songs by Travis Morrison, Patti Smith, Queens of the Stone Age and Jake Thackray in the spring of 2008. In May of the same year the band recorded their debut album in Seattle, WA. Following in the footsteps of long-time touring partners Los Campesinos!, the band chose to work with producer John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Death Cab For Cutie, Nada Surf) and the result is The Golden Spike. Pressed on 180g virgin vinyl in a heavy card gatefold sleeve.
