Equal Priority on Sound and Streaming: Marantz PM7000N Fully Discrete Integrated Amplifier Features Built-In HEOS, DSD5.6 Decoding, AK4490EQ DAC, Plentiful Connections
Marantz's first fully discrete, current-feedback integrated amplifier with built-in HEOS, PM7000N bundles the Japanese company's fabled fidelity and high-resolution streaming up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD5.6. Outputting 60Wpc and built with proprietary HDAM-SA3 circuitry, an AK4490EQ DAC, serious toroidal transformer, high-speed instantaneous current power supply, and dual separate power-supply circuits, PM7000N comes with three "Pure Modes" that let you disable entire broadcasting audio blocks and prevent interference when listening to analog sources. A newly designed electric volume circuit that supplies excellent separation and dynamic range – and symmetric PCB layout and aluminum extrusion heat sink – are also here. As you may have now guessed, this unit takes sonics seriously.
The 24-pound PM7000N is equally committed to modern flexibility. A wide array of connections – four analog inputs, one analog output, one coaxial input, two optical inputs, and a USB-A input for high-resolution files – supplement an integrated phono preamplifier with a FET input stage, built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and a dedicated subwoofer output. Of course, onboard HEOS means you can build a whole-home system around PM7000N and listen to TIDAL, Spotify, Pandora, Internet radio, and more in any room you want.
Of course, no lifestyle-oriented component should be without voice control, and, on cue, PM7000N will respond to Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri commands. You can also program it to work with your TV remote. Defeatable tone controls, premium SPKT-1+ speaker terminals, and a sleek metal front panel help complete an integrated whose options, performance, and build belies its sub-$1k price. Backed by Marantz's one-year parts-and-labor warranty (for refurbished products) and Music Direct's Satisfaction Guarantee.
"If you're after a practical box of tricks for all your analogue, digital and streaming needs that is great to both use and listen to, this Poppins bag-like hi-fi system should probably be scribbled at the top of your wish list."

"Over the past couple years, I've had the opportunity to listen to a number of integrated amplifiers near the Marantz PM7000N's price point. And while some of these integrated amps do offer more watts per channel and more features, none of these other amps have matched or exceeded the raw sound quality the PM7000N delivers. Combine this excellent sound quality with the PM7000N's network capabilities and I think this is one of the most well-rounded integrated amps out there right now near its price point."
– Dylan Seeger, Home Theater Review, five-star review
"At $999, the PM7000N performs above and beyond the asking price, even just in terms of flexibility. For anyone looking for a high-end system without the high-end sprawl, the Marantz PM7000N offers great sound and great value."

Fully Discrete Current Feedback Power Amplifier with HDAM-S3
Current feedback amplification, a renowned Marantz proprietary circuit technology, is thoughtfully designed to match the requirements of hi-res music for wide-bandwidth, high-speed reproduction. The impedance at the current feedback point is limited, generating a very low phase shift. This simplifies the signal path and results in a high through-rate, excellent transient response and superb sonic transparency across the full bandwidth. Unlike conventional voltage feedback topology, current feedback renders the power amplifier nearly immune to difficult loudspeaker loads.
Separate Power Supply for Standby
To reduce power consumption in standby, PM7000N features dual separate power supply circuits. While in standby, the digital SMPS power supply is active so the network can wake up PM7000N. When switching to operation mode, the SMPS power is switch off and the toroidal transformer is activated to supply the necessary high-current to reproduce stellar fidelity.
Upgraded Volume Control
A newly developed electric volume control uses the latest volume control IC coupled with Marantz HDAM to realize better channel separation, dynamic range, improved S/N ratio, and distortion-reduction all the while retaining the operational feel of an analog volume control device.
Connect Your TV, Blu-ray Player, and More
Connect your digital TV or cable/satellite set-top-box and a Blu-ray or DVD player to either of the three digital audio inputs and enjoy full, dynamic range digital audio playback of your favorite movies and TV shows. All of the digital inputs can automatically wake PM7000N when sensing an audio signal from the television, and your television remote control can be programmed to directly operate the master volume control, mute, power on/off, and source selection of PM7000N.
Support for Voice Control Platforms
Enjoy effortless voice control and total flexibility from the leading voice agents. Speak commands with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Siri. Ask to play your favorite music, turn the volume up, skip to the next track, switch inputs, and more. Switch between voice agents or pick a favorite to use – you're in control. Functionality varies by voice agent.
Source Direct Option
To ensure the shortest signal path and upmost fidelity, PM7000N features Marantz Source Direct function, which bypasses the tone and balance control circuitry for a straight path, delivering elevated sound purity.
Advantage, Toroidal Transformer
Toroidal transformers offer several advantages that derive from their efficiency and power capability. The shape of it lends to low levels of electromagnetic radiation and mechanical vibration, producing improved sound quality over what you might experience with dated transformer models.
