Ideal for Desktop Use and Custom-Install Setups: Parasound Zpre3 Zone Preamplifier Offers Discrete Commands, User-Friendly Options, Memorable Sound, and Compact Footprint

If the Parasound Zpre3 two-channel zone preamplifier didn't exist, we certainly hope some manufacturer would create it even if it just sat on paper as a concept. Yet this ultra-compact, high-performance unit is indeed a reality and will shock you with the amount of features, fidelity, and options it provides for the cost – and 2 x 8.5 x 12-inch (HWD) size. Ideal for lifestyle and desktop systems, the four-pound Zpre3 arrives with five inputs, fixed and variable stereo outputs, and variable and fixed mono/subwoofer outputs. Discrete commands for all functions, a bypass input that easily jibes with streamers, logarithmic volume control, 12V trigger output, automatic RS232 with exact volume control and feedback, and rear-panel IR input prove Zpre3's worth with custom-installation setups. Of course, it also seamlessly meshes with the other components in Parasound's Z Series.

A delight to operate, Zpre3 offers a front-panel LCD display with dimming and favorite volume memory on the supplied remote control. You can also use the latter to adjust bass, treble, and balance. A 12dB auto gain offset at the front-panel AUX input means you can match the levels of your other sources, and a headphone input invites private listening. Zpre3 even has automatic turn-on volume memory so you won't need to lift a finger. Plus, Parasound's fabled build quality is stamped all throughout Zpre3, down to its sleek, elegant chassis. A two-year manufacturer warranty and our 100% Music Direct Satisfaction Guarantee put the proverbial ribbon on the package.
