Clarity, Openness, and Definition That Will Change What You Hear: Bowers & Wilkins 703 S2 Tower Loudspeaker Leverages Proprietary Drivers and Trickle-Down Technology

What's it like to experience music reproduced with an openness that lets you hear the distinctive textures of the instruments, unique tonal character of vocalists, and ambience of the space in which it was recorded? The Bowers & Wilkins 703 S2 tower loudspeaker lets you find out. Tuned through thousands of hours of listening, the 55.2-pound floorstander leverages proprietary technology and cutting-innovations from the company's 800 Series Diamond to offer rapturous playback distinguished by superb definition, transparency, purity, and detail. You may have noticed 703 S2 also boasts luxurious looks – the clean, simple elegance capped by its high-grade lacquer finish.

Devised exclusively for 700 Series and at the heart of the three-way 703 S2's prowess, a one-inch Decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter raises the breakup threshold to 47kHz for pinpoint imaging, sharpness, and accuracy. It resides above a six-inch Decoupled Continuum cone Fixed Suspension Transducer (FST) midrange driver that plays with exceptional naturalism, neutrality, and control. Equipped with an FEA-optimized aluminum chassis, the midrange unit resists distortion, vibration, and cabinet coloration. For low-frequency depth and serious dynamics, two computer-modeled 6.5-inch Aerofoil Profile bass cones tout the requisite stiffness and rigidity for their function. In addition, Bowers & Wilkins' vented Flowport reduces friction and improves efficiency. You can also dial-in the bass responsiveness of 703 S2 to your liking by inserting the supplied two-piece foam plug into the rear-firing port.

Measuring 40.4 x 12.6 x 11.8 inches (HWD) and with a welcoming 89dB sensitivity, 703 S2 plays with big, powerful, and consistently breathtaking sound. And since it arrives voice-matched to every other model in the 700 Series, 703 S2 can serve as both a two-channel dynamo or as part of a dream home-theater system. Removable magnetic grilles, dual gold-plated binding-post terminals, rubber feet and spikes, and a five-year manufacturer warranty all come standard. Our 100% Music Direct Satisfaction Guarantee beckons you to try a pair of 703 S2 for a risk-free in-home audition.

Carbon Dome Tweeter

Carbon Dome tweeters are a new technology purpose-built for 700 Series. Delivering a dramatic improvement on the prior aluminum double-dome tweeter, they raise the breakup threshold to 47kHz for pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail.

Continuum Cone Driver and Midrange Chassis

First introduced with the 800 Series Diamond, the Continuum cone represents the biggest step-change in midrange performance since Kevlar. Its woven coated material provides highly controlled break-up, resulting in a more open, neutral midrange. In addition, the new FEA-optimized aluminum chassis for the decoupled midrange drivers is stiffer than the zinc chassis of the CM Series for improved control and cleaner midrange presentation.

Aerofoil Profile Bass Cone

The new Aerofoil Profile bass cone has the same variable thickness design as the bass cones in 800 Series Diamond speakers. Developed using advanced computer modeling techniques, it provides stiffness and rigidity where they're needed most for deep and dynamic bass.
