34-Pound Center-Channel Loudspeaker Boasts Four 5.25-Inch Cerametallic Woofers and One-Inch LTS Tweeter with Tractrix Horn: Klipsch RP-504C Is a Home-Theater Powerhouse

The four (count 'em) woofers staring straight at you from the massive 34-pound Klipsch RP-504C center-channel loudspeaker tell you almost everything you need to know about the home-theater powerhouse. You won't hurt for dynamics, impact, punch, or crispness – or strain to hear anything on a film soundtrack. Voiced to seamlessly match with any model in the Reference Premiere line, and claiming an easy-to-drive 97dB sensitivity, RP-504C provides requisite weight, body, and presence.

Inside, each of the quartet of 5.25-inch spun-copper Cerametallic woofers tout impressive engineering wherein the cone arrives matted to a dual-layer, copper-wound voice coil for exceptional conductivity. All arrive housed in a non-resonating, stamped-steel basket secured to a large magnet motor for stellar efficiency and low distortion. RP-504C also boasts a rear Tractrix port that provides airflow with minimized turbulence even during complex low-end passages.

Being a Klipsch, the 6.81 x 31.13 x 14.46-inch (HWD) RP-504C leverages the company's signature horn technology in the form of a one-inch titanium Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) vented tweeter with hybrid Tractrix horn. The architecture ensures the high-frequency energy aims directly toward you and reduces unwanted reverb caused by indirect sound bouncing off walls. In addition, the compressed molded silicon face matted to the 90° x 90° Tractrix horn reduces resonance for smooth frequency response. Computer-modeled phase plugs further act as astute mechanical filters.

Befitting the centerpiece of any surround setup, RP-504C is a total looker. Satin-painted, scratch-resistant baffles help showcase the ebony or walnut finish. Magnetically attached grilles and a five-year manufacturer warranty round out a design deserving of the Reference Premiere badge. 100% Music Direct Guaranteed.

90° x 90° Silicon Composite Hybrid Tractrix Horn

Horn loading maximizes efficiently and increases detail while focusing high frequencies towards the listening area. Proprietary Tractrix® geometry provides the most efficient transfer of high frequency waves into the listening area. The phase plug and compressed molded silicon face ensure smooth frequency response. When combined, clean, natural sound is created.

Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) Titanium Tweeter

The exclusive Linear Travel Suspension minimizes distortion for enhanced, detailed performance. LTS tweeters are a hallmark of previous Reference lines, making it a core component of some of the best speakers in the world.

Vented Tweeter Design

The new vented tweeter housing reduces standing waves that create unwanted harmonics, resulting in enhanced detail and clarity in high-frequency reproduction.

Spun Copper Cerametallic Woofers

A signature feature on the Reference Premiere series, Cerametallic™ woofers are exceptionally rigid and lightweight for minimal distortion and maximum efficiency. When paired with the Tractrix horn-loaded LTS tweeter, it provides the highest speaker efficiency in its class.

Tractrix Ports

Utilizing Tractrix geometry, the Reference Premiere ports allow for the most efficient, fastest air transfer from the cabinet, which reduces port noise for punchier low frequencies. Klipsch Tractrix ports have custom-designed inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port. Less turbulent air helps reduce port noise for cleaner, more powerful bass.

Robust Input Terminals

Single five-way screw terminals accept banana plugs or bare wire up to 12-gauge for flexible, lasting connections while the vibrant color coding provides easy setup and connection.

Dramatic Looks

Ebony and walnut models boast satin painted baffles with a scratch-resistant finish. Copper anodized trim rings, cast aluminum feet, satin painted baffles and a laser-etched logo treatment give the Reference Premiere II series a modern, premium look.
