Full Adjustability, Easy Operation, S-Shaped 10-Inch Tonearm, and Modern Aesthetics: Pro-Ject Debut PRO S Turntable Offers Stellar Sound and Consistent Performance
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO S offers everything you want in a turntable at this price point—spectacular sound, premium build quality, and easy operation—without cumbersome bells and whistles. The manual controls invite you to interact with this elegant turntable. The audible reward follows from the tactile experience. There are no unnecessary switches, LEDs, or labels to distract you from the essentials.
The S-shaped, 10-inch aluminum tonearm is precision-machined and includes a CNC-milled bearing block for a new degree of resolution. If you're a cartridge lover, Debut PRO S could be your new best friend, allowing for easy swapping of the phono cartridge and headshell. Featuring azimuth and vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustment, this turntable gives you full control over the setup parameters.
As usual, the deck is handmade in Europe using top-quality materials. The full satin black finish (including hand-painted parts) makes Debut PRO S an intriguing eyecatcher that looks as good as it sounds. Take a close look and you'll find no hollow spaces or plastic parts. Only high-quality aluminum parts are implemented to ensure optimal sound quality. The hand-painted, precision CNC-milled elements are visually stunning, so the Debut PRO S will enhance any listening space.
The S-shaped tonearm design ensures excellent damping and a 10-inch effective length, which enables perfect tracking of the record groove with minimal tracking error. Compared to a straight tonearm, the S-shaped design requires more material and thus increases effective mass, accommodating cartridges that might be on the heavier side.
The platter speed is electronically controlled with the utmost precision. You can easily toggle between 33 and 45RPM with the flip of a switch. The supplied round belt for 78RPM records deepens the versatility of Debut PRO S.
Featuring a diamond-cut aluminum sub-platter, this beautiful turntable's platter speed is impeccable. The sub-platter also increases the mass of the drive system, resulting in additional damping of noise and unwanted resonance. The die-cast aluminum platter is machined and balanced to perfection. The anti-magnetic heavy aluminum platter has a ring made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) on the inside that helps to dampen all resonances and minimizes wow and flutter.
Both azimuth and VTA are adjustable. The tonearm height can be easily changed by loosening the two grub screws at the rear of the armboard (then retightened). For azimuth, there's a single grub screw near the gimbal that allows for armtube rotation. Such versatility allows for endless experimentation and customization with varying cartridges and record mats so that you can achieve the sonics that best suit your taste. This premium turntable comes with the 100% Music Direct Satisfaction Guarantee.
