Strictly Focused on the Sound of Vinyl Playback: Pro-Ject X1 Turntable Features Excellent Tracking, Quiet Operation, Push-Button Speed Control, and Olympia Phono Cartridge
Discover the stunning tones, three-dimensional imaging, and thrilling dynamics embedded in the grooves of your favorite albums with the Pro-Ject X1 turntable. Handcrafted in Europe with eight layers of luxurious high-gloss finish, X1 ignores unnecessary bells and whistles in favor of focusing on just one thing: sonics. Cue up an LP on X1's resonance-free acrylic platter and sit back as you witness how the innovative decoupled motor system reduces distortion and breathes fresh life into your entire vinyl collection.
Employing an extremely stiff 8.6-inch carbon/aluminum tonearm that comes factory-mounted with a highly regarded Sumiko Olympia MM phono cartridge – and complete with a four-point precision tonearm bearing and aluminum tonearm base with azimuth and VTA adjustment – X1 tracks with a level of precision that enables it to unearth layers of vivid detail. A TPE-damped counterweight, dense anti-resonant MDF chassis, and height-adjustable aluminum/TPE feet all work to drastically reduce the resonance that causes lesser turntables to seem drab and lifeless.
X1 houses a sophisticated DC/AC generator board which, combined with a convenient push-button 33/45/78RPM speed control board, supplies clean and stable power to its ultra-quiet motor. No wonder X1 touts propulsive pacing and highly accurate pitch control that direct-powered AC motors found in average turntables cannot match. When you consider other features – such the superior electromagnetic- and radio-interference- shielding of X1's low-capacitance RCA cables as well as the dustcover – you have an audiophile turntable that looks and sounds far more expensive than it costs.
A proud and majorly updated continuation of the high-value, inexpensive high-end turntable tradition Pro-Ject's 1 model began in 1991, X1 will be ready to go minutes after you unbox it. We're staking our 100% Music Direct Guarantee on the fact you likely won't be boxing it back up and sending it back.
"This is surely the best sub-€1000 turntable package on the market."
– 2019-2020 EISA Award, Best Buy Turntable
"The Pro-Ject X1 may be a long way from being the best turntable money can buy, but it's pretty much there in terms of being the best value."
– Hi-Fi News, Outstanding Product review
"For the money, Pro-Ject's new X1 is something of a star. This price point is where this company really excels, and the deck's combination of sound quality, flexibility and ease of setup and use is hard to beat. In other words, it does precisely what that original Pro-Ject 1 did – but a whole lot better."
