Modular Flexibility, Hyper-Realistic Sound, Innovative Functionality: 150Wpc NAD Masters Series M32 DirectDigital Integrated Amplifier Touts BluOs and MQA Capability, Phono Preamp, Much More
This isn't your father's stereo. Harboring some of the most state-of-the-art digital-audio traits invented, and a winner of the prestigious CES Innovation Award, NAD's Masters Series M32 DirectDigital integrated amplifier redefines reference-standard by way of pristine, hyper-realistic sound, and innovative, future-adaptive features. The fully modular M32 touts user-replaceable modules that can be painlessly changed or upgraded. This allows you to customize M32 to your needs, adding or subtracting functions as technology changes. M32 also lives for high-resolution digital formats. To wit, this 150Wpc powerhouse touts NAD's exciting BluOS capability for advanced streaming, MQA support, as well as seemingly limitless connectivity. An asynchronous 24-bit/192kHz USB2.0 input for stunning computer-audio sound and MM phono preamplifier for rich, detailed vinyl LP playback also come standard. Featuring the shortest signal path in NAD history, M32 virtually eliminates all distortion and preserves the signal in the digital domain right up to the speaker outputs, meaning this cutting-edge amplifier is impervious to any interference. A discrete headphone amplifier, built-in electronic crossover for subwoofers, and a remote are also part of the package. So let the future come and bring what it will. The customizable, expandable, and changeable M32 is ready. 100% Music Direct Guaranteed.
“The imaging the M32 produced was tight and locked in, and the soundstage was big.”
M32 Both Redefines and Improves the Traditional Integrated Amplifier
Traditional integrated amps include the preamp control with the power amp in a single chassis, a crammed setup that reduces flexibility and causes the high-voltage power circuits to potentially interfere with the highly sensitive preamp stages. With M32, these limitations disappear. The signal can stay in the digital domain right up to the speaker outputs, making the M32 preamp impervious to interference from the power stage. Concerns about limited flexibility are erased by NAD's innovative Modular Design Construction (MDC), which allows a greater density of inputs as well as the flexibility to upgrade complete circuits as future technologies unfold.
Maximum Flexibility: Modular Design and Expansion Caters to Your Needs
By placing inputs and associated circuitry on uniform replaceable modules, M32 can be custom-tailored to cater to your exact requirements. A total of four MDC slots, with three available for expansion, await your needs. The preinstalled SPDIF Module includes AES/EBU, 2 x coax, and 2 x optical, all 24-bit/192kHz capable. A USB B port for connecting computers rounds out the array.
Software-Controlled Preamplifier Functions Dramatically Reduce Noise
M32 combines all preamp and power amp functions into a single amplifying stage controlled by software. Highly advanced mathematics determine all control functions, including volume and filters. This produces a dramatic reduction in noise and distortion, and brings you much closer to the music and artists. Traditional volume controls that change the gain in an active analog circuit cannot approach the transparency of M32. It also allows for perfect tone controls that only change tone without adding phase shift or distortion. No extra circuitry gets in the way because it doesn't exist. and you can easily bi-wire or add a subwoofer with the built-in electronic crossover.
Bring on the High-Resolution Audio: BluOs Capability and Management
By simply adding the optional BluOS MDC Module, M32 becomes part of the BluOS wireless multi-room music ecosystem. Unlike UPnP or AirPlay, which rely on middleware to translate between different platforms, BluOS is a true operating system unlimited by reliance on middleware or computers. Quickly becoming the leader in high-resolution network audio, BluOS is a complete music management system that brings all your music together – whether it is on hard drives or the cloud – into one easy-to-use control app for smartphones, tablets, and laptops. It is also a wireless multi-room system fully compatible with Bluesound wireless speakers and digital music players.
Vinyl Playback Via an MM Phono Preamp Plus a Discrete Headphone Amp
M32 boasts two line inputs and an MM phono preamplifier that helps LPs sound incredible. Accurate RIAA equalization, a clever phase-canceling infrasonic filter, and a huge overload margin combine to bring out the best from your vinyl. M32's discrete headphone amplifier drives even planar and high-impedance studio cans. With high-voltage and low-output impedance at your service, your headphones will sound superb.
The Shortest Signal Path in NAD History
The 150Wpc M32 can make almost any speaker sing. More importantly, M32 has virtually no distortion and a damping factor that is off the charts. These feats are all due to the innovative DirectDigital Feedback Amplifier, which uses an incredibly fast and accurate form of digital error correction. This true digital amp (not just Class D) is computer controlled and amplifies entirely in the digital domain, converting to analog at the speaker terminals. It gives M32 the shortest signal path in NAD history.
Elegant, Modern Design Includes TFT Touchscreen Display
M32's all-alloy casework is elegant and practical. Its single control knob for volume is supplemented by a TFT touchscreen display, which replaces a multitude of mechanical switches and expands the range of adjustments possible with detailed graphical readouts. (An IR remote is also included.) Because the controls are all software defined, you can add new controls and features by simply upgrading to new firmware. This works hand-in-hand with MDC to create a future-proof digital music player. Rigid panels with magnetic iso-point feet provide a solid foundation for the multi-layer circuit boards and intricate internal construction.
