Discovered in the archives of German Radio and now newly remastered, these remarkable Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart broadcast recordings from conductor Ferenc Fricsay and the RIAS Symphony Orchestra Berlin have remained unheard since the 1950s. They are now beautifully presented in a 4CD hardback box set edition with a compelling essay on Fricsay and post-war Berlin. Mozart and Fricsay had an exceptional relationship: indeed he used these radio broadcasts to "lay the foundations for a better understanding of the greatest musical thinker ever to have lived."
