Judy Collins Colors Of The Day: The Best Of Judy Collins on Numbered Limited Edition Multichannel 4.0 Hybrid SACD from Audio Fidelity
Judy Collins' voice is remarkably beautiful and her phrasing and range place her in a category all by herself. The award-winning singer-songwriter is esteemed for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards and her own poetically poignant original compositions.
First arriving in record stores in 1972, the excellent Colors of the Day: The Best of Judy Collins collects the revered artist's earliest, most time-honored recordings including stunning renditions of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" and Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne" plus explorations in country-pop ("Someday Soon"), British folk ("Sunny Goodge Street," "In My Life") and gospel ("Amazing Grace").
Some of the record's finest moments are from her exquisite 1968 album Who Know Where the Time Goes including that album's title track. Also included are two of her own autobiographical compositions, "My Father" and "Albatross."
