The Rolling Stones From The Vault: Live At The Tokyo Dome 1990 on Blu-Ray + 2CD
Continuing the very successful From The Vault series of classic, previously unreleased Rolling Stones live shows this release is taken from their performance at the Tokyo Dome in 1990, one of ten shows from February 14-27 at the famous venue which were the culmination of the Steel Wheels World Tour. These were the first concerts The Rolling Stones ever performed in Japan, their previous attempt to tour there in the early-70s having fallen through.
Featuring Mick Jagger, Keith Richard, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and Bill Wyman, who in August of that year, would play his last ever show with the band. The touring band included Bobby Keys, Chuck Leavell, Lisa Fischer, Cindy Mizelle, Bernard Fowler, Matt Clifford and the Uptown Horns. The Steel Wheels tour became the highest grossing tour of all time. But it's not just the figures that set this show apart from others, the Stones also revisited songs from their psychedelic period such as "2000 Light Years From Home" and "Ruby Tuesday," with cosmic results.
The footage has now been carefully restored and the sound has been newly mixed by Bob Clearmountain for this first official blu-ray/2CD release of the show.
