Gingko Cloud 11: Bigger, Better and More Effective
Similar to the Cloud 10, the Gingko Audio Cloud 11 offers the following enhancements: Its bottom plate is designed with deeper wells to provide an added level of safety in use; the ball stays in the well and rests squarely on the dimple thus preventing accidental rolling off of the bottom plate; the top plate features a thicker skirt that makes the platform more rigid to withstand heavier components and minimize deformation. The standard size of the top plate accommodates components with larger footprints. The extra thickness of the bottom plate and the top plate skirt improve vibration reduction performance to an average of 99% of the vibration from 5Hz to 500 Hz, with a resonance frequency of around 13 Hz.
vocals on Fleetwood Mac's 'Gold Dust Woman', Rumours, (LP, Warner
Brothers BSK 3010), had the kind of in the room quality, not just in
terms of sound staging, but also in terms of wholeness and palpability
that creates a convincing illusion of the real thing. Once again a sort
of mechanical haze that I hadn't noticed before was gone, leaving just
the soul of the music.
all the Gingko Cloud 11 is a great product at a reasonable price. It is
simple to set up and use and it does what it claims to do. It looks good
under even the most well manufactured components."
