Butch Walker: musician, rocker, Georgia boy. Composer of dozens of songs that stick in your head; Choruses you want to sing (or shout) along to; Purveyor of authentic stories of exploits and predicaments and romance that are filled with optimism; Architect of albums that have few boundaries, embracing hard rock and ballads, pop rock, Americana and singer-songwriter.
Deeply personal and full of the kind of unforgettable hooks that have made Butch one of the most in-demand songwriters and producers in music today, 2013's Peachtree Battle's five original songs were produced and engineered by Walker and Jake Sinclair at RubyRed Productions in Venice, CA, and Traxidermy Studios in Nashville, TN.
Walker confesses that the five tracks on Peachtree Battle are "the most personal song's he's ever written" and are dedicated to the very recent passing of his father. "This little record has been hard for me because I knew he would hear all these songs when it came out, facing his mortality and hearing me sing about it. I'm kinda relieved he didn't get to hear it. But at the same time, I really wanted him to."
