The 2003 self-titled debut release from platinum selling Christian artist Casting Crowns is now available on vinyl. With more than nine million records sold, the band currently holds the position as Billboard's top-selling act in Christian music since 2007.
The Atlanta-based group became the first artist on new imprint Beach Street Records founded by Mark Miller of country super group Sawyer Brown, and the band's platinum certified debut for the label was co-produced by Miller and multiple Dove Award winner Steven Curtis Chapman. Casting Crowns is where it all started for the band and includes straight-forward lyrics aimed at the church including catalog favorites "If We Are The Body," "Voice of Truth" and "Who Am I."
Chapman proclaimed, "Casting Crowns is something really unique. The melodies are really compelling. I was immediately hit between the eyes by these lyrics. They really challenged me and encouraged me. All that and the band has a youth ministry to back it up!" while Miller adds, "Mark Hall and Casting Crowns seem endless in their musical diversity. ‘If We Are The Body,' is a powerful song that inspires and encourages people everywhere to reach out to each other. This song speaks to the heart."
