Call To Confirm Colored Copies Are Still Available
2003's Oldboy is the acclaimed second installment in Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy, preceded by Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and followed by Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. Its masterful soundtrack introduced music lovers all over the world to the work of music director and frequent Chan-wook collaborator Yeong-wook Jo who worked with a team of composers (Hyun-jung Shim, Seung-hyun Choi, Ji-soo Lee) to create original scores for the film in various styles including classical, neo-classical, and experimental electronic music. It all comes together to form a brilliant soundtrack that is as compelling as the mysterious and satirical themes of the film itself. This colored 2LP reissue includes all of the tracks composed for the film (with the exception of the Vivaldi piece by Kyung-wha Chung). Nearly all of the music cues composed by Shim, Lee, and Choi are titled after films, many of them film noir.
