Among the most recognized acts of the American doom/death revival, Daylight Dies play depressive, melodic death metal with emotionally haunting melody lines. The band blends rapturous guitar riffs with funereal guitar leads, hair-raising vocals and an adventurous musical vision. In August 2005 the group entered the studio to record Dismantling Devotion, their second full length effort and first for Candlelight Records. Available on vinyl for the first time, the release saw the band charting significant new territory from their 2002 debut No Reply. Egan O'Rourke contributed several segments of clean vocals and clean and heavy guitars often mixed for an extremely lush sound. The material stands as some of the most haunting, dark and dynamic Daylight Dies has created to date.
