Stoke, UK-based punk band Discharge turned the world of underground music on its head with their primal bursts of uncompromising speed and aggression. Formed in the late-70s by twin brothers Bones and Tezz Roberts, and Rainy Wainwright, Discharge has proceeded to change the face of punk and indeed extreme music itself. The band's music is characterized by a heavy, distorted, and grinding guitar-driven sound and rawly shouted vocals, with lyrics on anarchist and pacifist themes. A fine introduction to early Discharge, 1984's Never Again compiles 17-tracks from the band's plethora of mini albums and 7" singles - many unavailable elsewhere - recorded at the peak of their powers.
