One of the signature groups from Hip Hop's Golden Age, EPMD's (aka Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith) seminal gold certified 1988 debut Strictly Business cemented the New York duo as true pioneers of the genre. 1989 follow-up Unfinished Business which cleverly chronicled EPMD's newfound fame also enjoyed gold status propelled by their disparate samples, funky beats and laid-back yet boastful rhymes. Business as Usual (1990) and Business Never Personal (1992) followed before an acrimonious five year breakup. In 1997 they returned with the gold-certified reunion album Back in Business anchored by the hit single "Da Joint." Continuing with it's vinyl reissue campaign, UMe will be releasing Back In Business back on the format for the first time since its original pressing.
