Three Original Albums Plus Bonus Tracks!
Eddie Harris was a man immersed in music. He was a composer, bandleader, performer, writer and innovator. In many ways, his career epitomizes the very idea of exploration and self-study. In 1961, Harris recorded his first album under the VeeJay Records label entitled Exodus after the motion picture of the same title. The song "Exodus" was first released as a 45 and sold well over a million copies which earned Eddie – Gold status for a jazz recording. He followed it up with Mighty Like a Rose (which featured an adaptation of "Spartacus") and Jazz for Breakfast at Tiffany's (a jazz interpretation of Henry Mancini's famous film score) the same year. Harris' first three cornerstone Vee-Jay albums are all collected here on this 2LP-set from Vinyl Passion complete with bonus tracks.
