Moody Blue is the final studio album released in Elvis Presley's lifetime, comprised of live and studio material including April 1977 concert performances, tracks from his last Graceland studio recording sessions in October 1976, songs left over from a prior Graceland session in February 1976 and a previously released live take of "Let Me Be There." The Mark James-penned title track and "Way Down," were issued as singles prior to Presley's death on August 16, 1977 with the former serving as one of his finest '70s performances and the final No. 1 hit of his lifetime. Additional highlights come in the form of an inspired cover of George Jones' "She Thinks I Still Care" and the earnest Johnny Ace tribute "Pledging My Love." Moody Blue is being given a fitting colored vinyl reissue in honor of the historic album's 40th anniversary in 2017!
