Golden Smog's 1995 debut Down By The Old Mainstream becomes Run Out Groove's thirteenth reissue title, marking the beloved album's first vinyl appearance since its original pressing in 2010. The first full-length effort from the interchangeable alt-country supergroup - which at this point featured Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Gary Louris and Marc Perlman of the Jayhawks, Dan Murphy of Soul Asylum, Kraig Johnson of Run Westy Run and Noah Levy of the Honeydogs - was recorded in 1994 in only five days and comprises largely original songs written for the project which revel in the fun and freewheeling atmosphere.
This individually numbered one time pressing of Golden Smog's Down By The Old Mainstream from Record Industry is presented as a colored 180g 2LP-set housed in an old school Tip on gatefold aqueous gloss Stoughton jacket with printed inner sleeves.
