Legendary power thrashers Heretic formed in the throes of the early 80's Southern California metal scene and soon became one of is top acts. Signed to Metal Blade Records, they were first featured on the Metal Massacre 7 compilation and followed it up with the EP Torture Knows No Boundary (1986) and the full length LP Breaking Point (1988). After the release of Breaking Point the band split up when lead singer Mike Howe joined Metal Church. Instead of continuing on guitarist Brian Korban, and bassist Dennis Ohara went on to form Reverend with former Metal Church singer David Wayne. Flash forward twenty plus years, the band released A Time Of Crisis on Metal On Metal Records in 2012, their first release in over two decades. Five years on another studio effort has materialized. A combination of precision and muscle, A Game You Cannot Win, was mixed by John Anthony Haddad at Trench Studios in Corona, CA.
