Circa 1988 an obsessed Swedish collector living in New York kicked off the amoeba-like bootleg punk-rock compilation series Killed By Death. The first four volumes, originally issued in 1989 on the Swedish label Redrum Records, highlighted some of the best and now highly sought after punk records of all-time. Originally released in 1993, Killed By Death No. 5: Rare Punk 77-82 served as the first of two installments compiled by an Australian record collector. Exhibiting more of an international focus, it includes excellent contributions from Neo Punkz, Nubs, Cracked Actor, Maggots and Dieter Meier among others.
