Remastered from the Original Analog Tapes at Bernie Grundman Mastering and Approved by Neil Young Himself: 1978's Acoustic-Based Comes a Time on Audiophile Vinyl LP
1978's Comes a Time finds Neil Young largely returning to his lush acoustic-based Harvest sound with uplifting harmony vocals from Nicolette Larson and elegant backing from the likes of Spooner Oldham (piano) and J. J. Cale (guitar). Tender and inspired in all the right places, it became his first Top Ten album in over half a decade. From opener "Goin' Back," which pays artful homage to Harvest's No. 1 hit "Heart of Gold" to Crazy Horse's nuanced backing on "Look Out For My Love" and "Lotta Love" and Larson's standout performances on "Already One" and "Four Strong Winds," Comes a Time is an often overlooked gem that certainly shouldn't be.
