From the northern parts of the globe, Finland's Omnium Gatherum is a melodic death metal band known for it's fierce live performances and fresh ingenious sound. The sextet delivers sophisticated but aggressive metal that is catchy yet original in its composition and arrangements. Their "trademark" is to push the music ever forward without losing the heritage of the genre - to make something new and still maintain the feeling that is deep in the soil of melodic death metal. Spinefarm Records is releasing remastered and restored versions of the Omnium Gatherum albums Stuck Here On Snakes Way (2007) and The Redshift (2008) on vinyl for the first time!
Omnium Gatherum's fourth album The Redshift was nailed and furled at Sound Supreme and SouthEastSounds Studios during the Spring of 2008 and mixed and mastered at Unisound Studio in Sweden by legendary metal-mastermind Dan Swanö, who comments: "I hate bands like Omnium Gatherum, they are so good it pisses me off! Their fine blend of melody and aggression is so good I actually thought about stealing the record and releasing it as my own. You won't find a better album in years." The Redshift received widespread acclaim and led to long European tours with Nile/Grave in 2008 and Swallow The Sun/Insomnium in 2009.
