Deutsche Grammophon offers up a 180g vinyl reissue of conductor Stanislaw Wislocki, pianist Sviatoslav Richter and the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra's legendary interpretation of Sergei Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2, recorded in 1959 at the Philharmonic Hall, Warsaw. Richter also tackles the composer's 6 Préludes here with equal acclaim. International Piano (London) wrote that the historic recording exhibited, "...the most amazing piano playing. The clarity of it is stunning...I'd never heard anything like that before - an amazing range of colour and orchestral effects."
