Sacred Oath has been crafting their particular brand of US metal since 1985. Their debut A Crystal Vision (1988) is widely regarded as a cult classic and was followed by a handful of solid studio efforts including Darkness Visible, Sacred Oath and World On Fire. The Connecticut-based underground metal legends return in 2017 with their newest full-length slab Twelve Bells and it finds the band at its most creative while still reflecting on its 30 year history. All 60 minutes were tracked and mixed at Rob Thorne's studio Angel Thorne. "This is the sixth album we've done entirely at my place, and I always strive for something different in the production each time," says Thorne. "The album is a 180 from Ravensong (2015) – it hits a lot harder up front. Lots of drums and raw guitars. Stylistically, you can all expect more traditional, old-school metal from us. It's what we do best."
