Previously Unreleased 2006 Live Performance Newly Mastered for Vinyl (180g 2LP) with Lacquers Cut from the Original Source!
Best described as progressive rock with some Krautrock mixed in, New York City's Secret Machines blend songcraft and melody with an aptitude for sculpting epic, dreamy, neo-psychedelic soundscapes. Anyone interested in Pink Floyd, NEU, Ride, Spacemen 3, Mercury Rev, the Flaming Lips, U2, Super Furry Animals, Sparklehorse and Broken Social Scene should find plenty to like with Secret Machine's modern day space rock. However, after releasing a trio of strong albums from 2004 to 2008 the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2010.
With rumors of a reunion and a impending new music on the horizon, in the meantime Run Out Groove dug deep in the vaults to unearth Live at the Garage; a previously unreleased Secret Machines live recording from London on January 18, 2006 that is stellar both in performance and sonic quality. Newly mastered for vinyl (numbered 180g 2LP-set) with lacquers cut from the original source, the proceedings come adorned with new gatefold artwork by Frank Olinsky, the graphic artist that designed Now Here is Nowhere, Ten Silver Drops and many of the band's singles.
