Description

An archetypal punk band, Slaughter & The Dogs' sound was fast, furious and full of speed. Hailing from the notoriously tough Manchester suburb of Wythenshawe (once the skinhead capital of the North) the band was named after the amalgamation of David Bowie's "Diamond Dogs" and Mick Ronson's Slaughter on 5th Avenue. 1978 debut Do It Dog Style finds the band's early Decca singles like "Where Have All The Boot Boys Gone," "You're a Bore," "Quick Joey Small," and "Dame To Blame" bolstered by additional prime cuts like "Victim Of The Vampire," "Boston Babies" and a cover of the New York Dolls' "Mystery Girls."
