Squill is the brainchild of Lily Richeson, former member of Olympia punk band, Parasol and current member of Bad Sleep. While continuing in the punk spirit of her previous bands, Lily takes Squill into a more intimate and personal setting. The nine songs on Bury It not only allow the listener a glimpse into Lily's Pacific Northwest world, but also into her heart. Recorded during 2017 at Leftfield Studios with Joey Seward acting as engineer, producer, and instrumentalist; Bury It has Lily fine tuning what she has done on previous Squill releases, while also expanding the notion of what punk can be. The first track on Bury It, "Flinch," is a prime example of how Lily is able to blend aspects of shoegaze, indie rock, and punk into a sound that is uniquely her own. Each song is a series of snapshots frozen in time, that send the listener on a journey into the heart of a woman who is unafraid of baring her soul to the world. From start to finish Bury It is a captivating and intimate listening experience.
