Janus is a compilation of rare material from the Sun Ra Arkestra, drawing from tapes recorded between 1963 and 1970, taken from both live and studio performances. Finding the space-age jazz shaman in fine form conjuring up a variety of styles and moods throughout, Janus is a well-programmed sampler of Sun Ra's art as it stood from the early-60s to the start of the following decade. The stunning 5-track collection has been remastered and comes pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl courtesy of Pallas in Germany.
