Analogue Productions/Classic Records Reissue Series Presents 10 Everest Titles in Previously Unreleased 45RPM Versions Cut by Bernie Grundman

Mastered Directly from the Original 35mm Magnetic Film Using "All Tube" Cutting System

Among Classic Records' many accomplishments was unlocking the audio majesty of the Everest 35mm magnetic film recordings in a groundbreaking reissue series. Everest LPs through the early-60s were recorded on 3-channel 35mm magnetic film recording equipment. 35mm magnetic film yielded greater fidelity and less noise than standard 1/4" recording tape. The Westrex Corporation built special equipment to Everest's specifications to accomplish these advantages. Classic Records by Analogue Productions resurrects this vintage audiophile collection with an initial 10-title reissue series. Bernie Grundman cut the Classic Records reissues at both 33 and 45 RPM but the 45 RPM versions have never been issued until now!

Looking and sounding exceptional, these 200g 45RPM editions are pressed with a flat-edge, no groove-guard flat profile by Quality Record Pressing like the beloved originals. The flat edge refers to the absence of a raised, beaded lip on the outer edge of the record, providing a flat playing surface - and no incline – on your turntable. Each 2LP-set comes with Stoughton Printing tip-on original packaging and an Everest Records branded jacket displaying photos of each reissue title. The two LPs are also presented in a protective clear sleeve.

Sir Malcolm Sargent conducts the London Symphony at Walthamstow Town Hall, London in a beautifully colorful interpretation of Tchaikovsky's infamous Fifth Symphony. The Fifth was at first considered a failure by the composer after its first few performances were poorly received but time proved otherwise and it has gone on to widespread acclaim. Orchestras around the world now perform Tchaikovsky's Fifth routinely to the thrill of their audiences. This Bert Whyte Everest recording in 1959 directly onto three channels of 35mm magnetic tape captures all the dynamic nuance of Tchaikovsky's multi-layered orchestration in a way most other conventional recordings are incapable of doing.
