Vinyl Lovers reissues the long unavailable King Records LP À Paris by the inimitable Yves Montand, one of the true perennial voices of French song. Although it was released in 1962, the album consists of a selection of singles from the late 1940s and early 1950s. Discovered by Édith Piaf in Paris in 1944 (she made him part of her act), Montand garnered international popularity as a singer and actor, starring in numerous films. Montand's recognizable voice and celebrated crooner songs, especially those about Paris (many of which are included on this LP), became instant classics. The Odeon label released this LP in France with the same cover as the King issue but presenting a completely different selection of singles. This edition follows the King release, adding two songs from the Odeon LP as a bonus.
