Acid King bubbled up from San Francisco in 1993 through a fog of revved up riffs, thunderous drums, and a hypnotic vocal howl. They unleashed three EPs and three full-length albums, starting with Zoroaster in 1995, the 1999 full-length Busse Woods, and Acid King III, coming in 2005. Their seismic chemistry transfixed audiences everywhere from high-profile festivals such as Hellfest and Roadburn to iconic shows alongside peers such as Sleep and Mystick Krewe of Clearlight.
Acid King’s masterful CD and 10-inch split releases on Man's Ruin have been remastered by Mell Dettmer and put out on one lovely piece of vinyl for your enjoyment. Free and Down With the Crown represent very early and heavy material from the band. Some of Kreation's favorite music in this genre...amazing stuff. The original photos for each release have been recreated and hand drawn by legendary rock artist Alan Forbes. The inner gatefold art are two-panel original works.
