Angus: Music From The Motion Picture - Various Artists on Limited Edition Colored 180g LP
Colored Copies Are Limited / Call To Confirm Colored Copies Are Still Available
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1995 Angus soundtrack, SRC Records is bringing it to vinyl for the very first time! The album has been mastered for vinyl by Kevin Gray at Coherent Studios and is pressed on limited edition colored 180 gram vinyl.
The film's soundtrack accurately reflects the melodic ideas prevalent in the alternative rock scene at the time. Most of the bands perform songs that closely resonate with the themes of the film while keeping a fast yet upbeat tone, a sharp departure from the age of grunge, which had just reached its twilight.
The soundtrack is highlighted by such evocative songs as Weezer's uptempo number "You Gave Your Love to Me Softly," a unique version of "Am I Wrong" by Love Spit Love, Green Day's No. 1 charting homage to an old friend "J.A.R." and the Riverdales' "Back To You" co-produced by Billie Joe Armstrong with Mass Giorgini. The music supervisors for Angus were Elliot Cahn and Jeff Saltzman, who, at the time, also managed two of the soundtrack's artists: Green Day and The Muffs.
