Brookvale Records proudly presents a new vinyl series from one of the progenitors of the jam-band genre, the founders of the original H.O.R.D.E. Tour, and the architects of the biggest hits of the ’90s...Grammy Award-winning blues rock legends Blues Traveler. The band’s first four albums will be given the premier Brookvale treatment as brand new 2LP sets, including remastered audio, beautiful all-new jackets, and two color options including a multicolor variant and an audiophile-grade 180-gram black vinyl variant. Each colored variant will be limited to 750 individually-numbered copies, while the 180-gram variants will be limited to 250 individually-numbered copies. Each LP comes encased in a poly-lined sleeve.
Originally from the suburbs of New Jersey, Blues Traveler moved to New York in the late ’80s where they became an integral part of a new wave of artists coming up in the jam-band scene, packing clubs like Nightingale’s, Wetlands and Mondo Cane, and sharing the bill with the likes of the Spin Doctors and Phish. Represented early on by Bill Graham and son David, Blues Traveler’s live reputation led to a deal with A&M Records, for whom they released their 1990 self-titled debut, which produced songs like the hit “But Anyway,” “Gina” and “100 Years,” and was eventually certified gold.
This 25th anniversary colored double vinyl reissue of Blues Traveler's self-titled debut album features fully remastered audio by Jeffrey Norman and a custom "true replica" jacket with the brilliant original artwork.
