Bobby Womack Home Is Where The Heart Is on Limited Edition 180g LP
Originally discovered as a teenager singing gospel music by the late Sam Cooke, Bobby Womack was blessed with one of the warmest, most readily-identifiable voices in soul music. He carved out his reputation with a series of classic albums and singles in the early-'70s including the passionate 1976 effort Home Is Where The Heart Is, his first for Columbia. Recorded in Muscle Shoals and Los Angeles and featuring a compelling mix of both of those scenes, the album marked his transition to a more contemporary soul sound. Womack's gruff baritone proves to be the perfect foil on charming numbers "One More Chance on Love," "How Long" and "Something for My Head."
