UMe Respect The Classics Campaign Reissue!
Grammy Award winning act Boyz II Men holds the distinction of being the best-selling R&B group of all time, with an astounding 60 million albums sold. Their clean-cut "retro nouveau" image, synchronized dance routines, and polished stage act were key to their rapid rise to stardom. Between 1992 and 1997 alone, the group recorded five #1 pop hits and 12 Top 10 R&B singles. After introducing their signature "hip-hop doo-wop" sound to the masses with breakout 9x Platinum 1991 debut Cooleyhighharmony Boyz II Men turned up the heat even more with its 1994 follow-up II, a 12x Platinum effort which produced the two No. 1 singles "I'll Make Love to You" and "On Bended Knee," the latter of which replaced the former at the top spot on the Billboard charts, making them the third artist to do so behind Elvis Presley and The Beatles. The album also won Best R&B Album at the 37th Grammy Awards. Continuing with its Respect The Classics campaign, UMe will be reissuing this long out of print classic album back on vinyl in August 2016.
