Duke Jordan Flight To Jordan On Limited Edition 180g Japanese Import LP!
This series of Blue Note titles are made for music lovers and collectors who are not happy with the current trend in mastering at 45-RPM. Many of our customers have complained about flipping sides every eight to ten minutes. These Japanese pressings are made for these jazz lovers, at the standard speed of 33 1/3.
For many decades, Japanese pressings have been sought out by audiophiles and serious collectors the world over. Their mastering technology is first-class and the pressing quality is the world’s best. Japanese pressing plants are virtual “Clean Rooms”, unlike pressing plants here in the USA. LPs from Japan have always been the quietest ever manufactured! These LPs only get pressed once; don’t miss out or you’ll be paying a lot more on eBay.
Duke Jordan established his credentials as a pianist during 1947-48 when he was Charlie Parker’s pianist. His composing skills did not emerge until the arrival of hard bop in the mid fifties. His 1960 release Flight To Jordan was his first full album as a leader and features the distinctive front line of Stanley Turrentine and Dizzy Reece. Added to the album’s six great Jordan compositions are another original and a trio version of “I Should Care.” Now available here on Limited Edition 180g Japanese Import LP!
