Grade is a Canadian hardcore/emo group. The band's first release was the Grade/Believe split which was released in 1994 on a small Canadian label - Workshop Records. And Such Is Progress followed in 1997 and Separate the Magnets was released in 1998, earning them critical praise and high profile touring slots with groups such as Jimmy Eat World, Hot Water Music and Fugazi.
In 1999, they signed with Victory Records and released the EP, Triumph and Tragedy. Later that same year they released the acclaimed full length album, Under the Radar. Here, Grade blend together elements of hardcore, rock, metal, pop and punk so well, that the final product ends up being greater then the sum the individual parts.
Grade shows you the full spectrum on an almost anthemic scale on Under the Radar. Anger, frustration, love, self-pity - they all manifest themselves in a way that pulls you in without dragging you down.
