Everybody Looking, the acclaimed first studio album from Gucci Mane in half a decade, debuted at No. 1 on Soundscan/Billboard's Top Current Albums chart, his highest ranking debut to date. The album was recorded in Atlanta over six days immediately following Gucci's early release from prison in May 2016. In addition to production by Mike WiLL Made-It (Future, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign) and Zaytoven (Usher, Nicki Minaj), the album also boasts features from Drake, Kanye West, and Young Thug. Everybody Looking was preceded by a number of hugely popular track releases, including "Back On Road," the Drumma Boy-produced "All My Children," "No Sleep (Intro)," and "1st Day Out Tha Feds. Also among the album's countless highlights is "Guwop Home" (feat. Young Thug).
Along with its stunning popular success, the album has also accrued a ream of positive press. "Everybody Looking is "evidence that the evolved Gucci is ready to get back to business as usual," declared Complex. "This quick turnaround is proof that he hasn't changed his approach to output, specifically prolifically and speedily feeding fans with hook-heavy trap anthems." "The unspoken party line among rap fans is that jail kills a hot streak," raved Vulture. "Gucci Mane breaks the paradigm on Everybody Looking with an hour of raps that careen from his trademark entrepreneurial cockiness to perfect honesty about his shortcomings, and back...Gucci seems revitalized...The rhymes are tighter and punchier...Everybody Looking has every right to roll out like a coronation."
